Listening to your talk and I agree with most Of what you say. But in the beginning, David in 2 Sam 11:1 … “…when kings go forth to battle, David sent Joab.” He chose not to do what he knew as a king to do and that is go out with “his armies to battle.”
It begs a question: What do we as christians not do that the Lord has called us to do? Or that we are neglecting?
Perhaps you can ask the Lord and followup with a teaching from on what we are neglecting to do that the Father has called us to do or maybe we’re not even asking Him what we should be doing.
Unfortunately, (and I include myself here) …we just come to church, sit in a pew, listen to a good teaching, get ‘fat’ on knowledge of the Word of God and then just go about our week neglecting God.
We don’t honestly obey God’s voice in our lives…. Because…
A) We don’t know how to hear God
B) We hear God but are afraid;
C) Sitting in a church and hearing a message was all we know and therefore that’s all we’re going to do.
D) … etc, etc, etc
Please understand none of this is a rebuke of any kind. It is just my thoughts only. They all can be chaff and just blown away in the wind.
