What times will the services be?
Traditional Service at 9:00 AM
Contemporary Service at 10:30 AM
The service will be live-streamed at 10:30AM.
Can I sit with my family?
Yes, you will be able to sit with your family.
Will I need to wear a face covering?
All worship service attendees will be asked to bring a face covering and use it for the duration of their time indoors. This request does not apply to children 3 years of age and younger.
Can we shake hands and hug?
Even though we love each other, and have missed seeing one another, we request that you do not hug or handshake at this time, in order to stay safe.
Will an offering basket be passed?
Offering baskets will not be passed during the service. There will be baskets in the rear of the MPR as you enter and exit, if you want to give your offering that way or you can give online at https://www.dixhillsefc.org/giving/
Will there be kids programming?
There is Nursery, Pre-k through 5 year old classes and Kid's Church offered at the 10:30 AM Service.
Will there be a separate room for parents with kids?
The Nursery room will be open, so you can bring your little ones in there.
Is hand sanitizer available?
We have some Hand Sanitizing Stations at the doorway to the Sanctuary and the MPR, there are also some bottles that will be available at various places throughout the church building.
Will there be coffee/tea/food?
At this time, we will not be offering coffee/tea or food to avoid many people touching the same surfaces. You are welcome to bring in your own coffee or beverage. Please, no sharing.
Will I have to open doors to get into the building?
Weather permitting, designated entry/exit points will be propped open so people may enter and exit without touching door handles. If this is not feasible staff members wearing face coverings will be assigned to open doors as people approach the door and hold the door open for them while maintaining a safe distance.
During this time of limited capacity we will be using the Foyer~ Main Entry way and the Hallway nearest the MPR only. All other doors will be locked.
Will church staff and volunteers wear face coverings?
All church staff and volunteers will wear face coverings (when necessary) on Sunday mornings. Those on the platform will not have masks while playing, singing or speaking. They will put their masks on when exiting the platform.
Will I have to have my temperature taken before I enter the building?
We will not be taking temperatures of persons who attend a service, but we do request that you take your temperature at home prior to coming to a service and any person in your party is not feeling well or has a temperature over 100 to stay home.
Will the online services continue?
The live stream of the full service will continue for the foreseeable future.
What happens if someone tests positive for COVID-19 who attended a worship service?
It will be requested of any member/attendee who tests positive for COVID-19 and has attended a worship service of DHEFC to notify the church office immediately by way of or phoning 631-271-4422, The highest levels of privacy will be maintained; no individual names of any who disclose to the church office a positive COVID-19 test result will be publicized or made known to the rest of the church.
